FAQs

  • Individual Therapy
I aim to create a warm and supportive environment that invites you to look deeper into your own thoughts and feelings. I tend to ask questions and may ask you to unpack the thoughts you share. Whether working with individuals or couples, I am a family therapist at heart, so I will investigate ways your family has shaped who you are as a person and will encourage you to consider what you might like to change. I often highlight themes we discussed in previous sessions so you can build on any progress that has already been established. I do not give homework or use worksheets. I might recommend a book, article, podcast or movie. My approach to working with you is dynamic, so you can expect sessions that are vibrant, energetic and infused with humor and creativity.

    Couples Therapy

As an Emotionally Focused Therapist (EFT), I work hard on behalf of your relationship. I strive to understand each partner even if there is no understanding between the two of you at the moment. The first session will include both partners. Sessions two and three are with each person individually so I can learn more about each partner’s perspective and background. Session four brings us back together to begin work on increasing connection in your relationship. As we proceed together, you’ll notice me slowing down to make sure I truly understand each person’s perspective so we can all make sense of what’s really happening in your interactions with each other. EFT follows a particular modality, which you can read more about here:  https://iceeft.com/what-is-eft/.

  • I see clients between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM (sometimes 3:00 PM) every day of the week, though I generally have less availability on Thursdays. Due to these constraints, it is important that you have daytime availability. I see clients in person and online using HIPAA Compliant Zoom.

  • Couples $170 / 50-minute session
    Individuals $160 / 50-minute session
Currently, all of my sliding-scale spots are taken, but I welcome you to bring up any financial hardship you might be experiencing. I offer flexibility so that therapy does not become an added stress or burden.
I accept cash, check or credit card.

  • I do not accept any insurance and am considered an out-of-network provider. I can, however, provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your own insurance. You will need to check with your insurance company to find out how much reimbursement you can expect to receive, as it can vary widely.
